Book Groups

The Patten Free Library Book Group meets on the last Wednesday (unless noted) of each month at 3 pm in the Board Room.  We match a pair of books, one a work of fiction, the other of nonfiction, on a topical and timely theme. New members are always welcome!  Read the latest book group news here.

December 30 (note: Tuesday) Nonfiction: Was the Cat in the Hat Black?  Fiction: A favorite Childhood Book. We explore race, racism and the culture of nostalgic childhood.  Happy holidays!

Books on Tap

Books on Tap is back for a special spooky October event with a focus on horror! Bring some favorite spine chilling titles to discuss at Bath Brewing (141 Front Street) on Thursday, October 10 at 6pm.

Always wanted to join a bookclub, but don’t like anyone telling you what to read?  This is the place for you!  Bring a favorite title or two to your local brewery, and discuss books of all kinds while enjoying an adult beverage.
